The world’s richest man, Musk, seems to have no issues imagining the quirky situation. After all, his $271.2 billion net worth allows him to give the weirdest of ideas a shape!

As Musk mentioned earlier this month, Tesla is reportedly working with Valve to introduce the popular video game distribution platform to Tesla cars. According to him, an announcement may come as early as next month! As of now, Tesla cars support classic free-to-play games like Beach Buggy Racing 2, and Sonic the Hedgehog. One can also access other basic games like Solitaire and Chess.

But, as fans know, Elon Musk doesn’t stop at one vision. While Steam’s integration to Tesla may receive a demo next month, Tesla Gigafactories producing video game merchandise is probably just an idea for the sake of sharing. However, with Elon Musk at the steering wheel, the idea may come to fruition!

In a tweet, today, Elon Musk shared his plan for a bizarre situation. According to him, if the Tesla Gigafactory in Texas starts producing video game merchandise, there should be two groups addressing different sets of genres. In fact, Musk aims to attract and motivate all kinds of gamers to come to the factory!

“If we’re gonna do video game stuff at the Texas Giga Factory, perhaps one could work in the more cartoonish franchises merchandise (Super Mario, Pokemon, Sonic the Hedgehog) while another group works on the other more realistic game franchises merchandise (God of War, Metal Gear Solid, Elden Ring),” his tweet read.

“That way, more people who like video games would be incentivized to come to the factory.”  

Elon Musk also thinks that his idea is ‘Saxon’. Well, it definitely is intriguing to think about Tesla creating video games. And, many are ready to welcome it!

Tesla taking interest in video games may be the next best thing for the industry. It will not only provide employment but also create another fun workplace for video game geniuses. Moreover, if the Steam integration goes through next month, Tesla cars will attract a massive number of video game fans. Thus, the idea to include more video games is beneficial for both parties in the long run!
