2K Will Reveal a New Game Later This Month That Will Be First the Installment in a Whole New Franchise

A recent announcement from 2K’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive, points towards a huge reveal later this month. The reveal will be for a new game franchise. We know little about what the 2K new game franchise will be, but it will most likely be a completely new IP. All this information came out thanks to Take-Two Interactive’s first-quarter earnings call for the fiscal year 2022, and gamers wait in anticipation of the reveal.

2K new game franchise: what to expect

Unfortunately, there isn’t all that much to go on here. All that we know is that the upcoming game will not be an installment in an existing franchise but will kick-start a new one. It is also unclear which 2K studio will be bestowed with the responsibility to develop this game.

But, one piece of information regarding the new game that has been revealed is that the game will come out before 2K’s fiscal year ends. This means that players can expect the game to come out by the time April 2022 begins; Take-Two Interactive’s fiscal year ends when March 2022 ends.

2K has been immensely successful in developing games. The name “2K” is associated with some of the biggest games/franchises of the last 15 years. The Bioshock franchise, the Mafia franchise, the Borderlands franchise, and loads of other games were all developed by 2K. This gives gamers hope that a developer that has dished out so many splendid games and franchises probably won’t do a poor job of building another franchise.
