Set in the British capital, Fallout London is by far one of the biggest fan projects ever. It has all the scale and expanse that is signature to Bethesda titles, with some rather dry British humor added. However, fans have to wait some more to try out Fallout London because of Bethesda’s seminal Starfield. The ambitious fan-made mod of the popular Bethesda title announced pushback of the release date as a gesture to players to give them more time enjoying Starfield.

The DLC-sized mod, however, will still hit several platforms in 2023. With the latest Fallout titles failing to make the desired impact, this expansive mod looks to restore the franchise’s glory.

The project has had the fans’ attention for a long time but it looks like nothing is within reach just yet. Starfield, Bethesda’s highly-anticipated project is already at the top of sales charts everywhere. Its immense universe promises lots of exploration to players who can visit over 1,000 planets. Starfield is set to be released in September this year and this has prompted a pushback for the Team Folon project, according to a recent article.

Despite being a fan project, Fallout London is being hailed as an entirely new Fallout game. Set in a post-nuclear world, Fallout London has new quests, locations, and even a full cast of voice actors. Like other open-world titles, the game is also said to have its own radio stations and shows. British palace guard uniforms and other landmarks will be visible throughout the game. The sheer breadth of the project has the community excited, especially with Fallout 4 not being able to match its predecessors.

Despite so much hype around Fallout London, Bethesda’s Starfield has caused another postponement of the release date. Starfield is expected to come out in September, which was the initial release time for Fallout London. While the third quarter of 2023 was in the books as the initial launch of the fan mod, it may now be rescheduled for the last. Dean Carter, head of the London project, said, “We’re not providing a specific date, but I can openly say that it will be in the fourth quarter of the year.

Carter said this will be a boon in disguise as players will get more time to experience Starfield in all its glory. “This not only gives you all more time to play Starfield but also allows us more time for playtesting and bug fixing“, he said. He also mentioned not having stakeholders’ pressure is an added advantage that the devs have got.
