Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is on its way, and it has many of the original fans of the series very hyped up. The reason for this hype is the fact that Ubisoft claims they have taken the series back to the basics with Mirage.

This is indeed an exciting thing, this video game series with an alternate history setup needed some shaking up. Talking about its setting, though, this one is set in Baghdad, and to keep things very authentic, Ubisoft has taken some very interesting decisions.

Baghdad in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is a historically accurate playground for players to do as they wish. They can parkour around the city; they can assassinate targets; and if nothing else fancies them, they can just climb the highest point and bask in the beauty of it. With such a painstakingly designed playground and markets full of historically accurate details, how would one feel if they heard people speaking English with a broken dialect?

It would not matter to most, but to some, it would break the immersion. For such players, this game would feature Arabic. What’s even more interesting is that Ubisoft has accurately lip-synced all Arabic dialogues. Which is pretty exciting to see. It’s not very often that developers go this far.

To add to all the above things, the English dub would also feature its own lip-sync animations. This means the people working on this game had to work double shifts to give players the desired freedom. Besides these details, judging from the trailers, this game is shaping up to be a very self-contained yet exciting experience.

Recently, it was revealed that this game would only have around 30 hours of playtime if players decided to complete it to its core. And for players who only care about the story, it would be somewhere around 20 to 25 hours. This is yet another thing that fans have missed in these games. Over the years, the length of Assassin’s Creed games has only increased. It would be refreshing to play a game that respects its player’s time and does not outlive its stay.
