Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players are currently waiting for its Campaign Early Access to go live this week. It will offer exclusive access to the story mode featuring a revamped, fast-paced experience. While fans are thrilled about the fast approaching early access, following another reveal, there is cause for concern. It’s due to the recently revealed installation size for the game.

Especially when compared to the predecessor MWII from last year. The latest installment appears to be expanding too much – surely way beyond many users’ expectations in terms of eating up the storage. But how much space is it asking for?

PlayStation Game Size on X (formerly Twitter) is known for dropping the sizes for new releases in advance. Ahead of the Early Access for MW3’s Campaign, the social media page dropped a crucial post regarding what one can expect for this year’s installment. While many people were predicting the single-player mode to be a little heavy than MWII, the actual size has exceeded their estimations.

According to what PlayStation Game Size has revealed, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Campaign will need more than 50 GB of storage to install. Its Campaign Pack 1 weighs a little over 18 GB while Campaign Pack 2 comes at nearly 33 GB. The game version revealed is going to be 01.001.000.

Meanwhile, another user wrote that they are not buying MW3 at all. Instead, they are spending their money on Alan Wake 2.

Someone said that Activision is the worst company when it comes to managing storage for its titles.

It will be interesting to see if the devs have got a response regarding this entire situation or not. COD titles have become too heavy for different platforms in the last four years. But seeing the Campaign asking for so much storage is beyond the understanding for regular users.
