Call of Duty Warzone 2 has been struggling to attract fans ever since its debut last year. The ongoing state of the battle royale has been nothing less than misery. Due to the unnecessary changes implemented in the sequel, players haven’t liked its overall experience, simply because it’s a far cry from the original Warzone.

However, everything’s still not lost for the game of the ‘new era’ of Call of Duty. There are still hopes of a silver lining, in the form of a rumored, new premium game in the franchise. The latter is set to release in the coming months this year. According to the leaks, it will be called Modern Warfare III and will be a standalone entry, rather than being an update of the current offering in MWII.

So far, we know that the new title from Activision is going to be a continuation of Modern Warfare II. But it will also be a completely separate game in itself. That’s what makes it an interesting project, as this aspect can result in a smoother, polished, and an improved Warzone experience in 2023. At least that’s what a reputed YouTuber, WhosImmortal, has theorized.

WhosImmortal is a popular COD expert who keeps dropping engaging videos on his channel. Recently, he shared a new clip while talking about how the rumored Call of Duty Modern Warfare III can help Warzone in becoming a better version of what it’s right now.

He mentioned that being a standalone application, MWIII won’t be interconnected with Warzone in the same way Modern Warfare II is linked with the current iteration of the battle royale. This will be great for the state of both games. If there happens to be an issue in MWIII’s Multiplayer, devs won’t have to change anything in Warzone and vice-versa.

Thus, players won’t have to suffer from a disappointing experience. Due to the design of the ongoing installments, any change implemented in one title ends up affecting the other. But with Modern Warfare III being its own thing, Warzone won’t have to go through any such uncertainty. The downside of having two different applications, though, will be that players will have to install more sizes on their systems. But that’s not going to be a major issue for them.

WhosImmortal’s next theory is that due to having a smoother engine than previous games like Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard, Modern Warfare III will provide an amazing experience for Warzone.

The battle royale will probably receive much-needed changes as well, which have been requested by the community for months now. It will be possible for the devs to do this because Warzone will be a separate game from MWIII’s setup altogether. Hence, the devs will be able to bring the vital transitions to this title without deteriorating the Multiplayer content.

Then there’s the aspect of adding content based on nostalgia. Doing that can also eventually help Warzone in making the players hooked. Last but not least is the problem of AI that devs can get rid of, once and for all, in the next version of the battle royale. The majority of the players haven’t really liked the addition of artificial intelligence-based combatants this year. So their removal could end up pleasing a lot of people in the community.
