This year the young YouTuber IShowSpeed is also among the many names nominated for this year’s Streamy Awards.

Darren Watkins Jr, better known by his internet alias IShowSpeed, is a young streamer on YouTube. He is famous for his hot-headed, energetic, and crazy personality, which leads him to do ridiculous activities on stream. But the audience loves to watch his them. Speed is among the fastest-growing streamers and has over 13.7 million followers on the platform.

IShowSpeed nominated for two Streamy Awards

The 17-year-old streamer has been nominated for two Streamys, the first is the Streamer of the Year, and the other is Breakout Streamer. Those who have followed this annual event every year might be hearing these award names for the first time. So they aren’t wrong, as these are new award categories.

In the past, there was just one category for streamers. But because of the recent growth, there are three categories this time. The first award is for the most entertaining livestreamer, while the other two are for a creator who rose to glory this year and the best Variety streamer.

Streamy Awards nominated Speed not only for Breakout Streamer but also for Streamer of the Year. He can win awards, as his streams acquired many views. Some of his streams went viral, like lighting a firecracker in his room pronouncing soccer players’ names wrong while playing FIFA.

Who are the tough competitors against Speed?

Although Speed has a fair chance to win the two Streamy Awards, he has some tough competition. Speed would face Kai Cenat, Emiru, kkatamina, and QTCindrella for the breakout section. But the most challenging competitor in this category is Kai Cenat, who rose to glory this year and became the most-subscribed Twitch streamer.

Now in the second category, Streamer of the Year, Sarren would again face Cenat. But there are other competitors in this genre, as Streamy Awards nominated him against elites like HasanAbi, Ludwig, and Pokimane. Ludwig won the individual streamer award last year, so he can also win the prizes this year.
