Competitive games sometimes bring in a bit of drama. The very same happened when MIBR and FURIA went all out against each other in the BLAST Premier Spring Americas Upper Bracket Finals. MIBR picked up the win against their arch-rivals. However, things went wayward when the CS: GO teams took things to Twitter.
MIBR member Fernando ‘fer’ Alvarenga termed FURIA as ‘sh*t’ after their matchup.
👏👏 @furiagg vocês são uns merdas.

Restarting the round was FURIA’s call. This comes in line with the tournament rules, wherein it states “If the issue takes place during a round after damage has occurred and the outcome of the match can still be determined, the round will continue to be played and count”
The eSports community was of the opinion that such calls should be made by match referees. Leaving the team itself to decide brings in a lot of confusion. Officials taking decisions saves both parties and hopefully, this is taken under consideration.
