Currently, a mysterious easter egg named Chessboard has caught the attention of several players. While many users have solved it after diving into Modern Warfare 3 Zombies missions, there are many gamers out there who are not even aware of it. No need to worry, though. Easter Eggs have been present prominently in Black Ops titles from Treyarch. While some are easy, others usually need a lot of teamwork. Many of them can be used to gain an advantage in single-player mode or Multiplayer matches. While Modern Warfare Zombies content works a little differently than Black Ops Zombies modes, it also features easter eggs.

The Chessboard easter egg can be located in Shahin Manor in the map of Urzikstan. Initially, players have to collect 4 phones which are part of the easter egg, basically representing four chess pieces: Pawn, Bishop, Rook, and Knight.

Here are the steps to follow to solve the Chessboard easter egg in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies:

  1. Collect 4 phones in Shahin Manor.
  2. First phone (I1) represents the Pawn, second phone (D1) is the Bishop, third phone (C5) is Rook, and the last phone (F6) is the Knight.
  3. Hunt down bosses and kill them in Shahin Manor and return to H7.
  4. Open Vault Room and kill ‘The King’ HVT Mimic.

Now you may be wondering, what about the reward? You will find a loot room with 3 chests. That’s everything the side easter egg has to offer, but it’s actually a really nice one to solve. Especially, given the fact that MWZ has only begun for a lot of players.
