Cyberpunk 2077 just announced a music contest where independent music creators can submit their works for the next big expansion of the game. 

Cyberpunk 2077 is about to get its next massive DLC, the Phantom Liberty Expansion. In this expansion, CDPR announced that they would feature a very interesting new addition to the game., the 89.7 Growl Radio. This radio will be accessible in-game and it will feature selected original music from the fans themselves.  

An award of $3000 for the best music track!

In the new Phantom Liberty Expansion Of Cyberpunk 2077, the players will have a new campaign mission. In this mission, they have to help a character named Ash set up their very own radio station.

This Community Radio is named 89.7 GrowlFM. This mission will be a rebellious act against the higher-ups of the city, very much in cyberpunk fashion. It will feature music from indie artists (fans) as a statement of the community.

Cyberpunk 2077 Regains Lost Glory As It Surpasses A Huge Steam Milestone

On October 14, 2022, the official Twitter of Cyberpunk 2077 announced that this in-game radio will feature music from the fans. The Tweet said the following, “Help Ash set up 89.7 #GrowlFM by creating a music track inspired by the video below. Submit your piece by November 30th!” 

The game urged the fans to submit their music by the end of November. The music can be of any genre as long as it goes with the aesthetic of the Cyberpunk Universe. To submit their music, fans simply have to go to the official GrowlFM website and fill up the form.

They have made it explicit that any entries with copyrighted elements will be disqualified. The entries have to be 100% original. The winning entries will get featured in the Phantom Liberty Expansion and will receive a $3000 dollar cash prize with other cyberpunk goodies.  

Cyberpunk 2077 re-surges two years after its release 

After the underwhelming launch, the game is recently witnessing a resurgence. Though the launch didn’t meet the expectation, the game has been constantly improved and polished ever since. With significant expansions and updates to a critically acclaimed anime adaptation, Cyberpunk 2077 is finally shaping up into the game that it was supposed to be.
