But many gamers took it in some other direction; they expected Starfield to be just like Skyrim in space. This game is, in fact, an RPG set in space. Space that’s spread wide in pretty much all directions. There are more than a thousand planets to explore, numerous quests to complete, and outposts to build.

When one plays a game like Skyrim or even Fallout 4, they just step out and keep walking, and they keep on finding stuff, both good and bad. Sometimes they find dwarven ruins, other times a bandit camp. Starfield, on the other hand, does not even allow this. Almost every planet in this game is built by the process of procedural generation, and on those planets, locations are designed on the fly by a next-gen AI director.

While Starfield is a massive game and much more technologically advanced, it cannot match the beauty of the completely handcrafted world of Skyrim and Fallout 4. Hence, it is recommended that players enjoy Starfield to the fullest, but not expect to see Skyrim there, but something new altogether.
