Fortnite is without a doubt one of the best battle royale titles currently available. And players of the game are waiting in anticipation of season 8, which is supposed to begin next month. And while nothing has been announced officially, there are plenty of rumors out there that suggest some huge changes for season 8 in terms of the story, the battle pass, the map, and more.

Fortnite: everything that is known about season 8 so far (rumors)

Story

Rumors suggest that with the end of season 7, the aliens in the game will no longer be present. A new clique will present itself and help make the island more suited to human life by introducing new locations and architectures. Rumors also point out that the clique might be called Zen Zonation, and members of the clique might even plant cherry blossoms around the map. Unfortunately, the rumors/leaks don’t delve into what the ulterior motive of this new clique will be.

Battle Pass

The battle pass will bring loads of new content, and maybe even characters of the aforementioned clique. Rumors point towards a cherry blossom skin, a unique Naruto outfit, and a Zen Zonation Goddess skin that players will be able to acquire when they reach level 100.

Map Changes

Rumors also indicate that Craggy Cliffs, Corny Complex, Dirty Docks, Coral Castle might all get replaced by new areas. Moreover, the rumors also indicate that completely new areas might also be introduced. For instance, there could be floating residential quarters for the members of Zen Zonation. Perhaps a floating fortress. Rumors also suggest the possibility of a Zero Zone, an area containing the dormant zero point.

Other things Fortnite might get in season 8

Players expect new architectures and landmarks. And rumors also suggest that the loot players will be able to acquire in season 8 will contain everything from Suppressed Pistol, Rail Gun, and Boogie Bomb all the way to Mechanical Explosive Bow and Rocket Launcher.

It is unclear whether the game will actually give players all that the rumors point towards. But if the rumored changes do happen, Fortnite players will be ecstatic.
