Unfortunately, the emote isn’t here to stay long-term just yet and will be gone within the next 12 hours only to reappear at a later date.

How to get the Macarena emote in Fortnite

The only way to get the emote is by purchasing it. The price of the emote is 500 V-bucks, and it’s available in the in-game store.

The new emote is a treat for players old enough to be familiar with the popular dance single from 90s. And for players who’re not familiar with the routine, they get a taste of what pop culture was like in the 90s and 2000s.

Fortnite made a posted a video on Twitter to get players and fans excited for the emote. The video shows many a character from the game dancing in sync with Macarena playing in the background.

As a lot of content had been revealed since the arrival of Chapter 2 Season 7, the addition of the new emote wasn’t as unexpected as it could’ve otherwise been. People had accessed game files to learn about upcoming content. They found codes associated with upcoming weapons, items, and other changes. And they also learned about three emotes—Macarena, Three Wise Monkeys, and Sweet Victory.
