Charles Martinet has been voicing Mario and Luigi since 1986 and has become synonymous with the franchise itself. However, devs Nintendo recently announced something that caught fans off guard. The Mario makers reveal that Martinet will be stepping down from his role in the franchise soon.

However, many fans aren’t up for waiting that long and have their own candidates for the role of Mario’s voice. The community is rife with wild speculations on who can be the best match for Mario and Luigi. Understandably, only the biggest names are coming up on the list to meet the status of the iconic princess-saving plumber duo.

One such website, Bovada is taking bets on who fans believe is most likely to voice Mario and Luigi in the future. While it’s not made official by the devs yet, fans aren’t backing down from putting their money on their choice of candidates.
Popular actor Seth MacFarlane seems to be leading the list so far with 10,000 plus votes. MacFarlane has become quite the name in the industry with his brilliant work in the sitcom show Family Guy. Trey Parker, known for his work in South Park is close behind MacFarlane. Many fans are also sure that Chris Pratt may be the one to voice Mario.
