But even the YouTube king had humble beginnings. He also had to struggle to think of video ideas and form his team. But he was successful in convincing his close friend Chris Tyson to join his group.

Chris Tyson recently sat down with Banter Boys consisting of Karl Jacobs, Sapnap, and GeorgrNotFound. Here, he talked about his struggles with starting HRT and how his fame helped him. This fame was thanks to MrBeast once offering Tyson a deal he could not refuse.

Tyson shares how he joined the MrBeast team

Before joining MrBeast on his content creation journey, Tyson was just a friend of MrBeast. They were close to each other and shared their love for YouTube mutually. However, Tyson did not think he would pursue YouTube as a career.

Unlike MrBeast, he said it was too stressful for him to be a YouTuber. Tyson desired to get into the IT sector. “I was always really obsessed with the internet, so I was like why don’t I learn about it,” said Tyson, sharing how he got into the IT field. And he was successful in entering the industry as well, by lining up a job offer for himself.

But MrBeast swooped in just the right time to add a valuable member to his team. The YouTube king thought Tyson was amusing and would be a great addition to his team. He offered Tyson the same amount of money the job was paying him. Tyson just had to be himself and be funny on MrBeast’s videos.

Everyone on set agreed that sounded like a good deal for Tyson to take.
