The first game Horizon: Zero Dawn introduced the post-apocalyptic United States as its setting. It told the story of a girl on a quest to find out what happened to the world. She journeys across the United States, fighting weird mechanical wildlife. She also uncovers the secrets behind the existence of those machines piece by piece while learning ways to control them.

This game presented players with a story that made them think. Its sequel had to live up to this game’s achievements, and in many ways, it succeeded in doing so.

The sequel was set in the Frontiers, hence it was named The Forbidden West. The game set a milestone for visuals on both the PlayStation 5 and PS4. Its lush and detailed environments and mind-blowing lightning made it one of the best-looking games on the PS5. It would be interesting to see how they top the sequel visually.
