In order to cover MrBeast’s career and his rise to fame, let us first try to understand how he started his journey on YouTube. Jimmy Donaldson uploaded his first video in February 2012 when he was 13 years old. At that time, his YouTube handle was called ‘MrBeast6000’ and he mostly uploaded gameplay videos in a series called ‘Let’s Play’.

The gameplay videos were mostly on Minecraft and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Furthermore, Donaldson also made other content, such as estimating the wealth of other YouTubers and commenting on YouTube drama.

However, his first taste of fame came about in January 2017 when he posted a video of himself counting numbers up to 100,00! As crazy as it sounds, it took him nearly 40 hours to complete this stunt, and the parts were sped up to 24 hours to not exceed YouTube’s upload limit. He also made a video called ‘Counting to 200,000 (Road to a Mil)’ the following month.

MrBeast is well known for pulling extreme stunts in his videos, such as using megaphones to shatter glass or attempting to stay underwater for 24 hours. While his content might have helped him gain good traction, he is also known for using his influence to help mitigate environmental problems.

MrBeast had started the initiative Team Trees in 2019 with the goal to plant 20 million trees. Furthermore, he also started another initiative called Team Seas in 2021 with the goal to clean up the oceans and water bodies all over the world.
