Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter, one of the top content creators on YouTube Gaming, revealed that her contract with the mega platform was ending earlier this month, on January 15, 2022. The YouTuber had streamed a day before the expiration date of her contract to reveal her future plans and bid farewell.

Many rightly speculated the stream would be her last for a while as the 100 Thieves Co-owner intended to take a break. Rae streamed ‘Among Us’ in her last stream, which is wildly popular amongst her fanbase, marking her two-year anniversary with YouTube and hitting pause on streaming in a perfect way.

However, with this recent video, many believe she might be looking to stream elsewhere. What could be her next step?

Valkyrae bids adieu to millions with last Among Us stream

‘The Queen of YouTube’ has broadened her spectrum of streams by a mile, gaining massive popularity across the internet. Barring her increasing growth in numbers, Valkyrae has also got praise and honorable accolades of the highest order in the past two years.

But it all started with her Among Us streams. Hofstetter says, “Thanks to Among Us, I met a lot of incredible people through that game. Also, a lot of incredible people in this community discovered me and my friends because of Among Us. Among Us just was insane for everyone’s career, which was crazy.”

Now, in her last video titled “Playing Among Us during my last stream on YouTube,” Hofstetter plays the much-hyped game with her close friends and fellow streamers Disguised Toast, Pokimane, Fuslie, and many more, saying the perfect goodbye to YouTube, for now.

She later uploaded the video on Twitter with the caption, “Ended my 2 years streaming on youtube anniversary with Among Us”

The video starts with her addressing her long journey with the platform and said, “Oh God! It’s here. It’s time. Two years on YouTube, man. Oh God, I might cry today. I might cry. I actually might cry!” She also talks about her streaming career and reveals how YouTube helped her financially and even walks her viewers through her successful time with YouTube.

But right before the game started, Sykkuno asks everyone in the lobby, ” Are you guys ready for the last game of Among Us ever?” To which, interestingly, Valkyrae replied, “For a couple weeks.”

Could this be a hint as to when she’ll start streaming again? Where is her next stop? Will she return to the rival platform, Twitch, where she has previously streamed for four and a half years? Or will it be Facebook? Only time will tell.
