The ever-widening video gaming has been a welcoming ground for every game fanatic on Earth. While we got to see Tennis star Nick Kyrgios’ gaming setup, it seems Formula One World Champion Max Verstappen is no exception to being a gamer. However, he didn’t have a great experience while participating in the Virtual Le Mans tournament in January.

The video gaming community saw an incredible rise in the upliftment of many platforms that could facilitate people to interact on a medium. Hence, the 24 Hours Of Le Mans Virtual was launched on the rFactor two racing simulator. This simulator lets players worldwide join a server and race from their location.

While this facilitated the players to have a real-like experience of a championship race, Verstappen wasn’t happy with the experience. The driver is known for his calm and joyful nature and profound dedication to his profession. But the technical issues made him rage quit the race even after being in the first place.

Max Verstappen voiced his dissatisfaction during the Virtual Le Mans tournament

In a video uploaded by the YouTube channel Limitless, one could see Verstappen dissatisfied with the overall race-gaming experience. Due to technical issues, the racer was disconnected from the server when he was in the first place. After getting disconnected, Verstappen exclaimed, “Look at this. They call it amazingly bad luck. This is just incompetence.”

Verstappen further stated, “They can’t even control their own game. This is already the third time this happens to me now that we get kicked off the game while doing this race.” The driver voiced his dissatisfaction with getting disconnected from the race and unable to get the lap back.

Concludingly, he said, “What’s the point? You prepare for five months to try and win this championship, you’re leading the championship, you’re trying to win this race which you prepared for two months, and they handle it like this. I mean there have been two red flags, they blame it on, I don’t even know what, people DDoSing the server… Honestly, it’s a joke. You cannot call this an event. It’s a clown show.”

One could absorb that disconnections and technical issues harm the gaming experience. Therefore, this became a prevailing reason for Verstappen to leave the race. But seeing the silver lining, one would be happy to know that Verstappen is a gamer with an impressive gaming setup and carries a love for it. Thus, fans would be looking forward to seeing him gaming more.
