Despite the odds, LA Thieves had an opportunity to win that match. Envoy is famous for sneaking from behind attacks, and he tried to do the same with Subliners, who were busy with Octane. Envoy sneaked behind PaulEhx and hit the first shot, but he missed the next shots thanks to the infamous ladder glitch.

It’s a glitch where your character suddenly does the climbing stairs animation, but the character is not climbing any stairs. The opposition used this opportunity to knock Envoy. On the other hand, the other Subliners member took out Octane to win the fifth round.

How did LA Thieves win the tournament?

Undoubtedly, it was a sour loss for the Thieves. Moreover, it hurt even more because the $500,000 prize pool was on the line. So, the Los Angeles team pulled their socks as they were a point behind the New York Subliners after the fifth round.
