Some players even began to worry whether providing PlayStation gamers an advantage in competitive battles would be deemed cheating because the game is a cross-platform. Additionally, Xbox and PC players can’t toggle cross-platform matches.
Wtf is this shit. Exclusive PlayStation advantages with permanent xp gains and extra loadouts?! This crosses the line. #xbox #ModernWarfare2 #MWII pic.twitter.com/WWySvscV5p

But isn’t this game crossplay now? Surely having quicker XP to access a bigger weapon / equipment / operator pool is pay2win?

lmfao and they have the gall to complain about exclusivity

That's seriously messed up. It's expected behaviour of Sony these days, Microsoft wouldn't get any with it. PlayStation increases PS5 price, people defend them. Xbox hints they might in the future rise prices, and it's headline news.

Also, the news has been getting some really harsh comments from fans as they think Call of Duty has always given PlayStation players an extra something for the past few years, despite being a patron of Xbox for many years. Although, this is not true in any case or form, as Call of Duty has been a cross-platform game for its entirety.
Some extraordinary situations
Although most fans were angry about the biased nature of Activision towards Xbox players, some pointed out that it was not something new and that it has been happening with its other titles as well.
This is literally nothing. Previous games had entire modes made exclusive, or gave certain platforms 30 day exclusive access to multiplayer maps, weapons, modes, and balance updates.
Giving PS players some bonus exp here and there or a skin is literally nothing.

Notably, Sony has a deal with Activision regarding Call of Duty content that allows them to enjoy some rather extraordinary advantages over Xbox players. It is also to be considered that the game has been always associated with Xbox for some rather confusing reasons.
