NetherRealm Studio’s Mortal Kombat is a renowned franchise in the gaming industry. After many popular titles for fans, this franchise is back to deliver another blockbuster, Mortal Kombat 1. This twelfth installment in the main Mortal Kombat series will launch on the 19th of September. However, way before its release, Mortal Kombat 1 stole its fans’ hearts with iconic pop culture features, intense gameplay, and a hundred times more notoriety than its predecessors.

The upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 revealed a series of heroes making their appearance as the guest in the game. It included some of the iconic characters from pop culture like DC Universe’s Peacemaker, Homelander from The Boys, and Omni-Man from Invincible. Now the creative director of NetherRealm Studios confirmed that iconic wrestler John Cena would give voice to DC’s Peacemaker. Not only that, but we also heard JK Simmons will play the role of voice actor for Omni-Man. If you think that the list ends here, then you are wrong. Boon also announced Antony Starr featuring as the voice of Homelander from The Boys. Crazy right?

Ed Boon was spotted making this announcement while the second-day live stream of Gamescom 2023 happened. Boon also said- “We had J.K. Simmons coming in, we had John Cena. We’re super fortunate… that they know what Mortal Kombat is and they come in and it just adds that additional layer of authenticity to get the voice actor in there,” Although we are crazy excited hearing the casts of the voice actors, we also spotted that Boon didn’t mention Antony Starr in the conversation. However, this doesn’t hint that Starr won’t feature in Mortal Kombat 1.
Ed Boon CONFIRMED that JK Simmons and John Cena will be voicing Omni-Man and Peacemaker in Mortal Kombat 1.
However, he did NOT mention Anthony Starr will be voicing Homelander in the game. He also didn’t say he wasn’t.

Now Ed Boon’s announcement about Homelander and Omni-Man surely took fans’ sleep. Apart from John Cena, fans will see Andrew Bowen as the voice of the iconic John Cage. He will also give voice to the title’s iconic character Jean-Claude Van Dame.

Furthermore, the famous blind Ninja from Mortal Kombat will receive a voice from Vic Chao, a talented artist featured in Final Fantasy XVI. Kari Wahlgren will be the voice of Princess Katana. Finally, Sunil Malhotra will be voicing Kung Lao.
