For the longest time, turning 21 has been a milestone, the transition to adulthood. As Travis Hunter reached that milestone, he came into some classy new ownership courtesy of his fiancee, Leanna Lenee. So, as Hunter became a member of the RAM Trucks family, his football family couldn’t help but show their love. And as Shedeur Sanders led the wishes, many Colorado Buffaloes followed suit. After all, support runs strong in the Buffs squad.

For quite a few days now, Hunter has been in the headlines for beating Shedeur Sanders to the punch – the punch being to feature on the EA Sports College Football 25 cover. As the only CU face on the game’s cover, the two-way star was bound to make headlines. But now, with his new $120,000 beast, he’s making headlines for matters outside the gridiron, too!

As Travis Hunter turned 21 on May 18, Leanna Lenee posted a heartwarming carousel on Instagram featuring pictures of her high-school sweetheart-turned-fiance. She wrote, “happy birthday to the most extraordinary individual that i’ve ever had the privilege to love.💗my love for you has no limits.” As Hunter replied, “Thank you I love u ❤️,” little did we know that there was more to come from the couple. From Leanna.

The 22-year-old got Hunter special wheels for his special day – a Dodge RAM TRX, complete with a giant red bow! Understandably touched by the gesture, Hunter posted two pictures on Instagram, one with Lenee and the car and the other with just him and his new wheels. Appreciating his fiancee, the two-way captioned the post, “Thank you @leannalenee ❤️” Seeing as his post was about a car, how could the Sanders brothers not show their love, considering they have their own luxury car collection owing to their multi-million NIL valuation?

While the Buffaloes quarterback commented, “🔥,” his brother Shilo couldn’t help but get more creative. He came up with what was likely a nickname for his teammate, writing, “TRX TRAV.” The two-way’s fishing buddy Jeremiah Brown added, “SNAPPED🤘🏿” At the same time, offensive lineman Justin Mayers and wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr had the same reaction as Shedeur: “🔥🔥” It wasn’t just Hunter’s Colorado teammates who appreciated his new car, though.

Duke Blue Devils quarterback Maalik Murphy commented, “Holy,” and Ohio State’s Kojo Antwi complimented not just the RAM TRX but also Hunter, writing, “You lit.” Isaiah Bolden, a New England Patriots cornerback, graduated from Jackson State University in 2023, where he was teammates with Travis Hunter & Co. He commented, “Tuff.” As so many fellow football players showed their love for Hunter as well as his new wheels, they also appreciated Leanna Lenee for her gesture. And as for her and Travis, it looks like gifting cars is their love language.

As Lenee turned 22 last November, it was Hunter who gifted her a customized Tesla Model X on her birthday. Just like the $2.7 million-worth football player expressed his gratitude for his RAM TRX, so did Lenee on her birthday. Posting a picture with her fiance in front of the car, she wrote, “MYYYYYY MANNNNNNNN, thank you to my man🥹🥹🥹🥹❤️” It’s safe to say the two of them have immense love for each other. As for Hunter’s brotherly love for Shedeur Sanders, which came into question recently, the quarterback’s reaction to the EA Sports College Football 25 cover shut down all of them.

Shedeur Sanders quashes cold war rumors

As Travis Hunter was featured on the game cover instead of Shedeur Sanders, fans hinted at a chance that a cold war would prevail between the two. When the Buffs quarterback posted the trailer on his Instagram story by (presumably unconsciously) omitting the part that had Hunter in it, the rumors started to intensify. But within a short time, Shedeur took the initiative to shut down the speculations. He reposted the teaser, this time with a caption voicing his support, “Pеrfеct timing @TravisHuntеrJr #cfb25 Prе ordеr now.”

Other than this, on May 17, in a YouTube interview, Hunter shared his strong belief that he, along with Shedeur, should be considered Heisman Trophy candidates going into the 2024 season. Hence, the love and affection between them go both ways, strengthening the Shedeur-Hunter bond.

Meanwhile, Deion Sanders, too, is protective of Travis Hunter as much as he is of his son Shedeur. Even though Shedeur could not find himself a place on the EA Sports cover, Coach Prime endorsed Hunter for being THE BUFFS FACE on the cover.
