Will there be no Nintendo Switch Pro in the future?

Piers Harding-Rolls of Ampere Analysis mentioned his predictions for 2022 and beyond. While discussing Nintendo, he stated that he’s expecting Nintendo to skip the Switch Pro.

“I’m not expecting a Switch Pro in 2022. We have a next-gen Nintendo console in our forecasts for late 2024, so I’m not convinced a ‘Pro’ model is going to appear at all,” he said.

In his forecast, Rolls clearly mentioned that there won’t be a Nintendo Switch Pro. Which implies that anyone who was patiently waiting for such a variant, at some point in the future, should not keep their expectations high.

Meanwhile, the analyst also added that Nintendo Switch consoles will probably remain the best-selling devices in 2022 as well. He believes the series will sell nearly 21 million units this year.

The Switch OLED variant arrived last year, sporting a 7-inch screen. It came with several enhancements also, like adjustable stand, a new-look dock, and better sound. However, the console lacked 4K support, which was highly rumored before the release.
