Usually, Nintendo launches games that are family-friendly by nature. Gamers can just invite their family and their kids for a round of Mario Kart, Smash Bros, etc.

But every now and then, some games launch on Nintendo’s consoles that are not that don’t fully meet the abovementioned criteria of ‘family-friendly’. Games like Doom, Skyrim, Bayonetta, etc would be very hard to consider kid friendly. And there’s one more game that has arrived with an M-rating, but any parent would mistake it for a kids’ game.

The anime which was adapted from a manga of the same name was made popular by its art style, music, storytelling, and world-building. It only makes sense that Chime Corporation decided to develop a game based on this series.

This game was released for most platforms in 2022. Amongst those platforms was the Nintendo Switch, a console that people also buy for their kids, just so they can indulge in catching Pokemons and saving princesses.

But Made in Abyss is not something kids should play. It might look like a kids’ game with its chibi art style and such, but it is not. So once again, we recommend Switch owners or parents of young Switch owners out there think properly before letting kids near this game.

The game itself features a bunch of disturbing elements too. While players are exploring the abyss in search of valuable materials and such, they would have to endure various side effects. These would lead the player characters to vomit, and even bleed from the eyes and nose, which is disturbing for sure.
