Since its inception, nearly twenty years ago, Call of Duty has witnessed endless transitions. However, the trend of bringing fascinating crossovers in the action series is something Activision has focused on very seriously. It is evident from the recent collaborations featuring popular fictional entities, including gaming characters from other iconic IPs. That being said, it seems like the right time has come for another beloved video game character to make her debut in the FPS franchise – Ada Wong from Resident Evil.

At first, any gamer may feel weird to imagine Ada in the action-packed setting of Call of Duty. Maybe they may not see a reason for her to be introduced in this franchise. However, there are several relevant reasons her inclusion in Activision’s series will be perfect. Especially, considering the next COD game Modern Warfare III and the vast changes it’s going to reveal later this year.

Ada Wong is a strong, fierce individual who fits the criteria of a Call of Duty Operator

For the uninitiated, Ada was initially created as a researcher named Linda. It was only later that she was turned into a spy who operated secretly to infiltrate Umbrella Corporation. Due to uncontrolled circumstances, she found herself caught up in a zombie outbreak inside the Raccoon City.

Since her original introduction in 1998, Ada Wong has appeared in multiple Resident Evil games. The most recent title featuring her was RE 4 remake by Capcom. After its release, the installment also received a DLC, Seperate Ways, solely focusing on Ada as the main character.

Now speaking of the possibility of her jumping into the world of Call of Duty, there’s a simple reason the makers should make it happen. As an Operator, Ada will fit right into Activision’s first-person shooter saga. Why? The deadly spy is a firearms specialist, apart from being trained in martial arts. Plus, she’s got knife mastery too! Not to mention her skills of using explosives and heavy weapons.

What’s more? She’s also got an amazing durability, agility, dexterity, and endurance. When it comes to having speed, faster reflexes and smart stealth abilities, Ada is one of the finest. But the main question is: how can she appear in Call of Duty without going through too much transition in her identity?

Ada in Call of Duty will be perfect with a future collaboration showcasing a Zombie-themed event

Well, there’s the simple answer, and it’s quite accurate too. Everyone knows that Activision has shifted its attention to Zombies in a big way, given that 2023’s upcoming Modern Warfare III will feature the undead. Not only that, it will also tie in many threads to previous Zombies-based COD titles in terms of the overall timeline.

On the other hand, Resident Evil is a known Zombies-only series. Considering the current situation, it seems like now is the most appropriate time to announce a future collaboration between Capcom and Activision’s IPs. What if Ada appeared inside a haunting event of MWIII while trying to investigate a Zombie outbreak alongside Modern Warfare characters? Moreover, she can also make her way into the COD universe through an exclusive Operator bundle too.

In short, both of the aforementioned methods will work to bring Ada into Call of Duty. Not to mention that hardcore fans of Capcom and Activision’s respective franchises will appreciate such a crossover.

In the end, however, it all depends on the makers to decide if they want to explore this or not going forward. However, if they do, it will prove to be epic. Just look at how Lara Croft’s introduction has impressed a lot of gamers. Her COD Operator, based on Tomb Raider’s legendary female icon has been mostly well received. The famous archaeologist made her debut last month with a mid-season update of Modern Warfare II. Since then, a lot of players have opted for her Operator in online matches.

Having Ada in Modern Warfare III’s future seasons will also prove to be a good strategy from a business perspective for Activision. An attractive-looking content containing her, alongside some of her classic weapons, will be an instant hit.

For example, the bundle can come up with the likes of Blacktail Pistol and the TMP Submachine Gun. These two are the most recent weapons seen in RE 4 remake’s Separate Ways DLC. Combining them with outstanding-looking stickers, a gun screen, emblem and a solid loading screen with Ada will complete the bundle set. And yes, it will sell faster than imagination even if it arrives at a premium price.

Speaking in terms of Call of Duty system, the makers may offer it for 2,400 COD Points; players will still take it up with open arms. After all, who won’t like to flaunt an Operator themed on Ada Wong, right? Hopefully, the people at Capcom and Activision will think about this possibility sooner than later. Until then, one can only wait and watch.
