Valorant is undoubtedly one of the most popular First-Person Shooter games as of now. As much as its heroic agents and their captivating abilities have pleased us, it’s time Riot takes into account some of its humorous but annoying mechanics. Adding to the list of creators who lost their cool while playing Valorant, Shroud called out Riot for one of the most annoying Ascent mechanics.

There are currently seven maps in the popular FPS, namely Ascent, Breeze, Split, Bind, Haven, Fracture, and Icebox. Almost every map features a bug or a glitch of its own. Eagle-eyed players are more than capable of spotting such vulnerabilities and making use of them for an advantage. Although Riot is ‘strictly against’ bug usage, players have still continued to indulge.

All you need is a Sova and an Odin in Ascent

In a recent video, Shroud pointed out the excessively annoying spam-able walls in Ascent. Let’s just say it’s a map for initiators like Sova and Fade. Sova’s Recon Bolt is very powerful, capable of revealing enemies that fail to break it on time. Fade is also a very versatile initiator for Ascent, with her powers featuring the ability to blind enemies and reveal their position at the same time.

With the presence of walls that bullets can penetrate, Ascent fuels the need to pick agents with enemy-marking abilities and machine guns like Odin or Ares. The wall bang spots in Ascent are not bugs; they are features that Riot may not choose to remove anytime soon.

To pinpoint a particularly annoying wall-bang spot in Ascent, Site A’s heaven and hell positions are entirely spam-able via the A rafter. So, even if players wanted to hold hell or push through heaven, one Sova Recon and precise spamming of bullets can get them killed.

Ascent’s spam-able A Rafters annoy Shroud

Shroud, in a recent video titled ‘Please Fix Ascent’, showed the consequences he faced because of this annoying feature. He goes on to mention how the A Rafters and the walls between A Tree and the site can be spammed. “The whole thing is just a f**king s**tshow!” he proclaimed.

In fact, not only did his enemies take advantage, but his teammate who picked Sova picked up an Odin and wall-banged enemies at every chance. You can watch the full video below!

In one instance, Shroud was at A Site Heaven and was killed by the enemy Sova from Hell with an Odin. “I hate that so much… That whole floor being spam-able, I hate it. I hate it. Not even just like slightly, it’s this is the worst!” he exclaimed. “The whole map is f**king paper-thin.” It sure is Shroud, it sure is!

A site in Ascent is not the only problem in Valorant

Not only site A, but the walls of Mid Market, B Main, and B Site corners in Ascent can be wall-banged easily. There’s also a glitch in B Main that allows Sova to shoot a Recon Bolt through the wall. In addition, players can also glitch molly abilities like Viper’s Snake Bite through heaven and hell spots.

Valorant is, indeed, a fun game with all the fascinating agents and the high IQ gameplays some of us can show off with our abilities. However, some bugs and weird mechanics can definitely wreck nerves. Utilizing this chance, we would also like to point out bugs like the one that lets Sage hide in walls and Yoru climb the roof in Split Site A. Please fix them, Riot!
