Since then, there has been a war between streamers. One side wants Twitch to ban gambling, while the other opposes it. But the American live streaming platform has announced an update related to gambling streams.

Twitch announces a major update of gambling streams
Twitch has always tried its best to offer the best experience to the fans. So, they have been updating their policies to improve the quality of the content on the platform and cause no harm to the audience with it. So, the American video streaming platform did the same with gambling.

After the incident related to Slicker happened, everyone was waiting for Twitch to take action. Finally, they have released an official update announcement on Twitter. The live streaming would prohibit streamers from sharing links or promo codes to sites that focus on slots, roulette, or dice games.

They will even check on all the gambling sites to see if they abide by US laws and other jurisdictions. Only sites that follow these conditions and give proof of the security of customers’ money would be allowed on the platform.
Moreover, the purple platform also announced that sports gambling, fantasy sports, and poker will continue, as they are legal according to law. The purple streaming platform will share its official update on gambling on October 18. This upcoming announcement would include all the updates related to gambling streams.

I don’t advocate gambling but seems a little bit wrong to ban gambling & allow all these pool & hot tub (etc) streams. If you’re going to ban something that’s immoral, it doesn’t make sense to keep something arguably even worse morally, make an age restriction that actually works
