Popular Actress Adds More Hype to the Last of Us TV Series Ahead of 2023 Launch

The Last of Us is an iconic franchise that has swayed fans across the globe. Following its vast success on the PlayStation consoles, Sony eventually decided to venture into the live-action universe with an upcoming TV series adaptation.
The Last of Us is going to be the first HBO series based on a video game. It will showcase the post-apocalyptic adventures of Joel and Ellie. While the father figure is portrayed by actor Pedro Pascal, the iconic role of the beloved female protagonist is played by teenage actress Bella Ramsey.

It seems like Bella is highly confident of the quality of the show that is yet to premiere its first episode. During a recent media interaction, she revealed that everyone will end up loving the series when it’s out.

As reported by Wccftech, Bella had an interview with the outlet Sheknows in which she talked about the TLOU in detail. While presenting her thoughts on the future of the show and how it will be received by the gaming lovers, she said that they don’t need to worry at all. Per Ramsey, the HBO show is very faithful to the original game from Naughty Dog.

Simply put, she said that The Last of Us fans are going to love the live-action adaptation of the memorable game. “I know there were people worried about it, of course. When something is so precious to you as a viewer — as a gamer — of course, you’re going to be worried about the adaptation.”

Adding further, she said the show truly honors Naughty Dog’s unforgettable PlayStation blockbuster. “It very much follows the emotional beats of the game, and it’s very respectful of the game and honors the game,” said Bella.

Talking about shooting for The Last of Us series, she revealed that it was a fun experience to be a part of the project. And she hopes for the viewers to feel this same experience when they start watching the show upon its debut.
As of now, the HBO TV series is set to premiere next year in early 2023. As mentioned previously, Bella is playing the character of Ellie while The Mandalorian star, Pedro Pascal, will be Joel.
