Xbox has dominated the console industry for years. In its ambitions, the company is aiming to take over the gaming industry with its upcoming merger with Activision Bizzard. The renowned video game publisher is famed for its Call of Duty franchise with its large community of loyalist fans, who wait patiently for each title.

There are some rumors on Xbox working on a mystery sequel that may take 10 years to develop. The details about the sequel were mentioned in court documents relating to an ongoing legal challenge to Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. According to Axios’ Stephen Totilo, the details of Xbox working on a mystery sequel were discovered in an ongoing legal challenge in which a group of self-identified gamers is trying to block Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

Interestingly, it was spotted that a triple-A may take a long decade o complete and left Halo Infinite as an example. It further mentions, ” For instance, according to one Microsoft executive, [redacated], a forthcoming title from the [redacted] franchise, may take a decade to develop.”

Unfortunately, it’s not specifically disclosed if Xbox may be working on a new game or a sequel. Fans will lose their mind if it comes out in the open about Microsoft working on a new AAA game for a long decade.

Interestingly, some fans are speculating the mysterious sequel to be Elder Scroll 6. The Elder Scroll 6 was announced back in E3 2018 and now has been in the development phase for over  5 years. Therefore, it wouldn’t be surprising if Xbox may hide a few details from the community for the much-awaited game.

Furthermore, Bethesda‘s Todd Howard also said in 2021, “good to think of The Elder Scrolls 6 as still being in a design [phase]”, suggesting to fans that the Xbox exclusive is still years from the release.

The case document has been brought by 10 video game players in California, New Mexico, and New Jersey that involves a private anti-trust action. Regardless, the reveal of a mysterious sequel in development for over a decade has undoubtedly excited several Xbox fans for its future.
