He also expressed a genuine concern that Microsoft has disrupted a huge strategy in the industry, which might give them an advantage over other consoles.

Adam said, “Most publishers sell their games for $60 or $70. Which they have to do because the game costs hundreds of millions of dollars to make and years of effort. But Microsoft has recently disrupted that strategy by introducing a service called Game Pass, where you can get 100 games for just $9.99 per month. And now they are buying game publishers so that they can put their games on the service.”

He further said, “It doesn’t matter if Call of Duty is also available on PlayStation. If you can get it for $9.99 instead of $70 and get 100s of other games too. That’s what you gonna do!! The deal is too good to pass up.”

What actions can Sony and Nintendo take to not lose their users?

Adam also dove into how Sony and Nintendo could or couldn’t make their own Game Pass competitors. He thinks they can’t. It’s mainly because they can’t afford to take such a colossal risk. He said that Microsoft might be taking an immense loss on Game Pass.

Microsoft can afford to do that because it’s Microsoft, and Microsoft is unlikely ever to run low on cash.

At last, he suggests that Nintendo might be able to survive this haptic situation, but Sony can’t. “Actually, I think I should say Nintendo will be fine because Nintendo has Mario and Zelda. And everyone loves Mario and Zelda. But I think Sony is fu**ed.”
