Currently trending at number 1, Bethesda’s latest IP has outperformed a lot of classics. These include GTA V, Forza Horizon, Minecraft, FIFA 23, and UFC. For context, maby titles in the list have been dominating the industry for a while now. Thus, a new arrival taking over such classics gives an idea of the surreal hype this Sci-Fi giant has been able to build.

Starfield, ever since its announcement at the Xbox Showcase 2023, had shown promising signs of being one of the biggest contenders for GOTY 2023. At least, Bethesda and Microsoft make sure they stay ahead in the race with phenomenal branding and marketing. Ship-building, exploring over 1000 planets, encountering various creatures on different planets etc are just a few of the amazing thigs the game offers. Adding to that, the detailing and expansion liberties in the game have been highly appreciated post the early access. 

The marketing did play a major role in getting Starfield the desired pedestal. A lot of early reviews have claimed the experience to be more than just a game. Overall, it does seem like Bethesda cracked the code for an ‘ideal immersive’ experience.
