On September 15, 2022, Roger Federer announced his retirement from tennis with an extensive Instagram post. He thanked the entire community for giving all their love as he promised his parting gift to be the Laver Cup. Federer has had a stellar tennis career as he’s defined the sport in multiple ways. He has always shadowed every budding tennis player, giving him the needy push to become the greatest. 

Roger has over 103 professional titles, making him one of the most remarkable players in the sport. He’s not only broken records but created a handful of them during his journey. However, that does not mean his life revolves only around tennis, as the pro is bound to have different interests. A 2019 interview can become the best example to explain this, as the king of the court revealed a few.

Despite belonging to various industries, top celebrities, athletes, and personalities enjoy their free time gaming. They dive deep into their favorite genres, taking their minds off the rigorous training and busy days. Roger Federer has been a prime example of this as he revealed his love for video games in a 2019 interview.

In 2019, Federer got into a conversation with Clique Dimanche, revealing personal details about his life. The duo spoke about how Roger considered himself as a person while understanding more insights into his daily life.

Apart from thrashing his opponents on the court, the tennis maestro revealed his love for video games. Federer spoke about how he enjoyed PlayStation and Nintendo titles just like any other normal person.

“I am a totally normal person, I played like all the others on PlayStation and Super Mario,” said Federer while talking to Clique. However, the champ also shed light on his sadness for not getting enough time to play them. “Unfortunately because of my plans and training, you have to make sacrifices, and I do no longer have that much time to give myself a shot at hobbies like football, table tennis, or skiing.”

Before shifting to the next segment, Federer promised to give ample time to his hobbies post-retirement, as he loved spending time around them most. And with his recent retirement announcement out, we firmly believe for the champ to move to the same. However, the real question lies in which games the king of tennis opts for.
