He gave up his vantage point to seize an opportunity after downing one of the players. The second one, a RIOT Shield user tried to flee but ended up giving Skullface the win.

Fans cannot believe it

While the win was quite special for everyone involved, the fans took a particular delight in this one stat. It was not a RIOT Shield player who won. Truly shows the way the RIOT Shield changed the game, and came under fire for allowing an easy out for the players.

At the same time, it took fans on a trip down memory lane, with a legendary call-back this fan made. It was only fitting that fans drew parallels to Star Wars, with a classic GIF.

It seemed the Star Wars reference was not enough to keep all the Shield haters at bay. There was a big call to ban this piece of equipment in official tournaments. Fans believe it makes for poor gameplay, especially if players simply hide behind virtually unbreakable objects in every fight.
