The 16th main installment of this 36-year-old series was released on June 22, 2023. This game might have quenched the thirst of the FF fans who were eagerly waiting for it. But since the release of this title, Square Enix’s stock has fallen 30% from its peak. The Japanese publisher’s stock value reached its highest point this year, and on Wednesday it faced its lowest point since May 2022. This huge deterioration in the share price has caused Square Enix to lose a huge $2 billion.
