In the last few days, things haven’t been going great for some of the prominent faces in the streaming community, like Pokimane. Recently, the popular Moroccan-Canadian streamer was in the spotlight because of a controversy.
Just a few days back on 12th January 2022, one popular Twitch streamer, JiDion’s viewers suddenly hate raided Pokimane’s livestream. JiDion’s was regarded as responsible for the ordeal, and this resulted in the community going against him, which was followed by a 2-week ban on Twitch. This disheartening incident has left Pokimane and all her fans angry and disappointed at the same time.
On the 16th of Jan 2022, one YouTube channel named StreamerTV shared a video that features the streamer, Pokimane, sharing her take on how female streamers are viewed.

Like…as an example, a lot of popular male actors, especially when they start in like teenage dramas or whatever, the majority of their fan base is probably girls that think that they’re cute or look up to them or whatever it is. ‘You’re like oh my god, I love him.’ Who the f*** ever cares.”
