At first look, you would suppose that the new The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom trailer isn’t very revealing, which isn’t totally untrue. Following multiple videos and promotional photographs, it is evident that Nintendo is attempting to keep as many surprises as possible hidden so that gamers can truly appreciate the experience once the title hits their hands.

However, if you look at the Tears of the Kingdom trailers, many fans think that it appears more like an expansion than a sequel to Breath of the Wild. Let’s look at why they think that.

Set in the same Kingdom of Hyrule

The first few minutes are intentionally darkish. Regardless, there isn’t much to see. Despite all the new aspects presented, the new hero’s journey begins in the same intriguing and adventure-filled Kingdom of Hyrule. We’re as sad as you are that the setting hasn’t changed, but that doesn’t mean the overall game hasn’t changed either.

Same graphics in the Tears of the Kingdom

There is a brag about you requiring a massive 18.6 GB free to download the highly awaited sequel to Breathe of the Wild. In contrast, Breath of the Wild consumes around 14.7 GB of your system’s storage space. But the real question is, why? Because several instances and screenshots from both games may lead you to believe they are twins, what is consuming this GB then? Well, we guess it’s a mystery like the Hyrule.

Same story and recurring enemies

The story also follows the same trend, with Zelda needing to be saved by Link, who will have to retrieve Master Sword from the last battle. Yes, there are many familiar enemies, but there are also some new ones. That would account for its absence in Breath of the Wild.

Acting as a blank canvas in front of the player, it satisfies the thirst for exploration and problems while simultaneously concealing a wealth of secrets that demand to be solved at our leisure. Yes, the game provided freedom.

Despite the fact that the Nintendo EShop for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom states “The adventure is yours to create in a world fueled by your imagination,” let’s wait and see if it will truly deliver freedom like the other original Zelda games.
