Earlier, Microsoft had signed a revolutionary deal with the Japanese giant, Nintendo, where they finally agreed to bring Xbox games to the Nintendo systems, including the beloved FPS franchise, Call of Duty. They have agreed on a 10-year-long binding contract that will guarantee a steady stream of Xbox games on Nintendo consoles.

“We’ve now signed a binding 10-year contract to bring Xbox games to Nintendo’s gamers. This is just part of our commitment to bring Xbox games and Activision titles like Call of Duty to more players on more platforms,” tweeted the vice chair and president of Microsoft, Brad Smith. In the tweet, he also featured an official digital announcement of the partnership. 

Continuing the momentum, Microsoft is all set to sit with the representatives of their biggest competitors as well as some of the most influential players in the market. The meeting will be joined by the advocates of EA, Valve, Google, Nvidia, Sony (PlayStation), and more. Phil Spencer will represent Xbox while PlayStation will be voiced by Jim Ryan.

“Microsoft is meeting with EU regulators today. It’s a big pivotal meeting that will include Xbox chief Phil Spencer, PlayStation chief Jim Ryan, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick, and reps for Nvidia and Google,” tweeted veteran game journalist, Tom Warren, replying to Brad Smith’s tweet regarding the Microsoft X Nintendo Deal.
