‘Worst Part Is We’ve Been Actively Trying To Collab With Them’- Innersloth Co-Founder Disgusted by Fortnite Copying Among Us

Fortnite makers Epic Games have made an announcement regarding a new mode the has been added to the game. And while Fortnite players might enjoy this new mode, those at Innersloth aren’t too pleased. The problem is that this new mode, Fortnite Imposters, bears an undeniable resemblance to the indie multiplayer title Among Us. The Co-Founder of Innersloth, Marcus Bromander, as well as others involved with Among Us, have taken to Tweeter vent their frustrations.
Worst part is we’ve been actively trying to collab with them.

Taking someone else’s idea and slightly extending it is frowned upon. And Epic Games seems to have done just, at least in the eyes of those who worked on the game. Bromander can be seen lamenting in the above attachment that Innersloth had been actively trying to engage in a collaboration with Fortnite.

Fortnite copies Among Us: how did other members of Innersloth respond?
It’s safe to say no one was particularly pleased with what had happened. Adriel Wallick, the lead programmer at Innersloth, also expressed disappointment regarding the incident.

Gary Porter, a programmer Innersloth, tried to point out just how little originality went into Fortnite Imposter through his tweets. And it’s hard to dispute him on this.

Victoria Tran, Among Us community director, also put up tweets expressing grief regarding what had transpired. The gaming community seems to have sympathized with the members of Innersloth, and their tweets received a lot of support. It’s hard to tell where things go from here, but as of now, one thing is for certain and that is Innersloth isn’t wholly happy with Epic Games.
