Microsoft recently acquired ZeniMax Media, the owner of Bethesda. The deal cost the multinational technology company a whopping $7.5 billion. A recent announcement from Xbox via Twitter unveiled the first event that these two gaming tycoons will collaborate on.
E3 is a gaming showcase that features the latest games from the biggest developers. This year, the event has been renamed the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. The 90-minute event will kick off on Sunday, June 13th at 1 PM ET. According to Aaron Greenberg, the General Manager of Xbox, “The show will be focused on games from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, and many game creators from our partners around the world.”
Despite the recent acquisition of ZeniMax Media by Microsoft, players on other platforms will still be able to enjoy future Bethesda titles. For instance, Deathloop, Bethesda’s upcoming title, will release exclusively on the PC and PlayStation 5.

However, this is not to say that Xbox is getting the short end of the stick in this deal. Microsoft’s Phil Spencer has already explained that “some new titles in the future” will only come exclusively to Xbox and the company’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
