F1 HALO Holograms? What Next?

Here we go again, yet another F1 Halo article. At this point, one has to wonder if Formula One fans are finally getting used to the device?

Till date, discussions have been raging since the announcement and the big reveal. Opinions and reviews came flooding in, questioning the integrity and value of the Halo product. Critics ranged from frustrated drivers and fans to experts and pundits.

It is safe to say that this device has polarised Formula One. The ones in favour were keen to express its positives, critics have questioned what it brings to the table in terms of protection.

Now, the device has begun to win over some fans of the sport. Especially those who have taken a keen interest in the Halo designs. Some designs have allowed drivers to customise their device to stand out from the crowd on the track.

Fans have praised a few of the designs that have been on display through televised coverage of recent races.

The Halo may look unappealing in the flesh but on the television screen, it’s a different story. Sometimes, the coverage showcases the driver’s speed and what gear they are in.

It is as if, F1 is attempting to become more modernised. In response, the fans are coming out in full force to support the changes.

Twitter user Olly Whitman posted a photo that first brought this revelation to light.

He wrote: “That’s what I’m talking about!! Inspired AR graphics around the Halo on #C4F1 coverage today. #greatdesign”

Another user, Andrew McGregor also echoed the same feelings.

He said: “Don’t care how you feel about the halo, those new graphics are cool. #F1 #AzerbaijanGP.”

Another fan wrote: “The graphics on the halo are just next level ?.”
