After the Bahrain Grand Prix, many racers and motorsport personalities shared their take on the race. When it came to Ferrari’s pace, Naomi Schiff said, “There have been moments where things happened in Charles’ garage that weren’t necessarily happening on Carlos’ side, on race day.” The Spaniard had an edge over his teammate due to his knowledge of the technical aspects of the car. Sainz made sure to have his vehicle, optimized according to his needs.

She continued, “That’s because it seemed like Carlos was ahead on a few things.” While Sainz finished ahead of his teammate, the 29-year-old TV presenter said “Charles, maybe, relies on his speed quite a lot.” This breakdown of how the duo at Ferrari operates is a good take on the individuality of the races being implemented in their cars.

Sainz Jr had the upper hand in the Ferrari at the start of the season and he hopes to continue this trend. With the pressure of finding a new team next year, there is too much on his plate and this year, he will be racing for his life.

Carlos Sainz Jr’s reason to join Ferrari

The Smooth Operator has always been a strong candidate for the world championship title. Sainz has spent his career perfecting his technique and wants to bring home the world champion title. He has always looked up to Fernando Alonso and soon after he joined F1, his idol became a rival really fast.

After realizing that he had the current edge over his world champion-winning Spaniard counterpart, Sainz tried experimenting with teams before ending up at the Ferrari stable. Sadly enough, the driver could not impress the stakeholders and the team decided to release him from his duty to make way for Lewis Hamilton.

That being said, Ferrari is always a great name to have on your portfolio and Carlos Sainz decided to take a chance. Although the team has not been seen as a threat to Mercedes until last year, it looks like that is going to change. The two drivers have more to prove than ever and it’s Ferrari’s turn to play.
