Max Verstappen is a pure racer. He loves to race and compete, whether it is F1 or sim racing with his friends. Although going beyond his life on track, Verstappen is not visible doing much besides racing. Back in 2020, he revealed how he doesn’t even like to cook for himself.

In a G-Star Raw interview, Max Verstappen opened up on several of his off-track habits. Radio icon Edwin Evers asked him about his food habits and if he can cook anything. Verstappen then revealed his limited skill set in the kitchen.

He said, “An egg, yes. An omelet. A really good one.” The Dutchman mentioned the different ingredients he puts in his omelet. Further on, he explained why he prefers to only make an omelet and not take extra effort to cook.

The reigning F1 champion continued, “But you know what? It takes half an hour to prepare. You go to the supermarket, then you make it. You’re done eating in five minutes and you don’t have to clean up. I can’t be bothered.”

Verstappen, worth $200 million, stated that he prefers to order in over cooking himself. After this, Evers asked him whether he still loves his mom’s cooking. And the Red Bull driver replied, “I do. Whenever she comes over, I always say [to her] – “Bring me some groceries”.

It’s wholesome to hear that an F1 racing driver is still reliant on his mother’s cooking. He accepted being a fan of his mom’s salad with ham and cheese.

The 25-year-old can learn some simple dishes like pasta or spaghetti over the F1 off-season. Though the 2-time champion would mostly spend time sim racing after ordering food.

Max Verstappen spoke about his off-track interests besides F1. Verstappen loves racing and he says that he loves to do fun activities like quad bikes or buggy racing. He is truly a motorhead in every sense.

While his team isn’t really concerned about what activities he might indulge in. Max stated that it won’t bother Red Bull if he went skiing or took part in any adventure sports.

Though, thankfully for Helmut Marko and Co., the Dutchman doesn’t risk himself in anything too adventurous. Now that he has become a 2-time world champion, he may not want to risk his career for any off-track adventure.
