Formula 1 driver pairings are always very tricky to figure out. Racing drivers in general seldom get along very well. More so when you have two supremely talented drivers battling it out in equal machinery. That being said, the prospect of having Max Verstappen with another F1 champion as a teammate is tantalizing as ever.

Marca quoted Alonso saying, “I know that Max wants to do some Endurance one day and that he is attracted to racing at Le Mans. I am open to doing that together.” [translated via Google Translate]

And the Red Bull star doesn’t seem to mind this offer either. “If he does, he wants to go for the win with a competitive car and In that I am exactly the same.”

“It would be nice if we had a good chance to race together at Le Mans.”

Even though the prospect of the duo pairing up is still just talks, there’s massive respect between the two. For Verstappen, he’s just in awe of the fellow 2x Champion.
