Lewis Hamilton is one of the greatest athletes in the world undoubtedly. Even at this age, the man is raring to go and hungry for more. As the Mercedes star wants to continue until he’s in his 40s, there’s another side of him that wants to have a family and settle down.

Hamilton, who’s now 37 years old and single, has a one-year contract left with Mercedes. If things fall in place, the Briton might see himself racing for another couple of years before deciding on retirement. However, the man with seven F1 world titles wants to settle down at some point, but that is, of course, after he retires from F1.
Talking about this, the former McLaren star conveyed in a recently published report by The New York Times, “At some stage, I will want to have a family and that will be my full focus, but right now, being in Formula 1 with Mercedes is it.”
“There’s a reason why I have as much energy as I do, that I’m still able to train with the intensity that I do and have the dedication that I do,” further conveyed the Briton who just completed his 16th season in Formula 1.
Lewis Hamilton still has the drive to win
With seven world titles already in his bag, Lewis Hamilton will do everything but stop. At least for now or in the next two-three years. Even though his records are safe for quite some years, the man from Stevenage wants to push for more.

In the New York Times report, Hamilton further stated on this, “It’s not forever, but something inside is telling me -You’re not done yet.” Hamilton joined F1 in 2007 and has 310 race starts to his name so far and looks like he’s far from finished with Formula 1.
“You’ve got to keep pushing. You’ve got more to do, more to achieve. I’ve done it for 30 years, and it’ll be 30-plus years when I do eventually stop. Luckily for me, right this second, it’s not now,” concluded the veteran Silver Arrows ace.
