Mercedes F1 star Lewis Hamilton recently opened up on the new poster he had in the Mercedes paddock last week in Japan. During the race in Suzuka last weekend, a hoarding with Lewis Hamilton’s sign was seen above the Mercedes garage. The Silver Arrows ace lately shared his thoughts behind it.

When asked about it in an interview, Hamilton shared that the sign was not planned to be as such.

Moreover, Yuki Tsunoda, the homeboy of Japan, also imitated the poster, which brought in more traction towards the sign that Hamilton had in Japan.

Talking about this, the seven-time world champion shared, “I’ve done so many photoshoots, I don’t even remember which… I don’t know. This one you mean? [Doing the rock symbol] This ones like rock and roll?”

“That’s kind of like I know it’s cool, you know rock and roll and I don’t know maybe i had the thumb out to add like ‘peace’… I don’t know.”

He laughed as he said, “It doesn’t mean anything.”

“When you’re doing photoshoots you just, you run out of, you’ve to give angles and looks and do different things and you run out of ideas. So I’ve decided to stick with this,” further asserted the 37-year-old Mercedes star.

As Verstappen won the Japan race and Perez finished in P2 after Leclerc’s penalty, Verstappen emerged as the new World Champion. After the race got over, Hamilton made sure he congratulates the new world champion on his incredible feat.

Even though the Silver Arrows were hardly competitive this year, the Brit believes his team will prepare a better car next year. Talking about Mercedes’s expectations, Hamilton stated, “I believe that we as a team, we’ve not gone from being world champions to not being able to build a good car.”

“I have no doubts we’ll build a better car next year,” concluded Sir Lewis Hamilton.

The Brackley-based team is in P3 in the constructors’ championship with 387 points, whereas team drivers George Russell and Lewis Hamilton occupy P4 and P6 in the driver’s standings respectively with 207 and 180 points.
