37-Year-Old Lewis Hamilton Goes Past Moto GP Counterpart Valentino Rossi for Extreme Adventures With the New Generation of Motorsport

A podium finish at the Hungarian GP meant Lewis Hamilton started his summer break on a high. A much-needed result, especially after the struggling start to the season. The Hungarian GP P2 meant five podiums in the last five races for the Mercedes man. These were surely a series of morale-boosting results for Hamilton right before the summer break, that Hamilton kick-started without wasting any time.

The Briton took his “much-needed” time off from the sport by soaking in the sun and enjoying his time in the ocean. Hamilton shared a post on Instagram, enjoying himself with MotoGP World Champion Fabio Quartararo.

The Mercedes man captioned the post, “And we’re off!! Kicked off the summer break with a much needed day out on the water. @fabioquartararo20, always a pleasure. Some amazing weeks ahead for sure.”

According to Hamilton’s caption, he has clearly a lot planned for the summer break. The two world champions were surfing in the ocean on a peculiar device. The device that the two were enjoying themselves on was an Esurf board, a battery-powered surfboard that costs around $20,000.

The age difference is clearly not a limiting factor in Hamilton’s life with befriending people. And Hamilton is clearly enjoying his time with the MotoGP rider, looking forward to the rest of the summer.

However, this is not the first time Hamilton is spending his free time with a MotoGP World Champion.

Hamilton has a long list of friends and MotoGP’s Valentino Rossi is a part of that list. The Briton turned his admiration for MotoGP into a friendship with Rossi. The Mercedes man even swapped seats with the 43-year-old MotoGP World Champion in 2019.

Now, Hamilton is building bonds with the next generation of MotoGP riders. Quartararo is also a MotoGP champion and recently announced he will test for the Mercedes F1 team toward the end of the season. Déjà vu?
