Daniil Kvyat has accepted his fate for the 2021 season. The Russian is more than likely to be replaced by the Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda at AlphaTauri; yet this news does not dishearten Kvyat. His form has been improving in the last segment of the championship and he is eyeing 2022 now.

Daniil appears to have made his peace with the rumors of him being sacked by AlphaTauri sportingly. He understands that F1 demands results and performance. The Russian put up a few promising stints, but all around, he needs to improve. Therefore, when his team wants to start the Academy racer for 2021, he does not criticize their decision.

He had already stated that his only defense in the face of his plight is his form. Although he did not win a podium yet, his entire weekends do point at a more focussed and determined Daniil Kvyat. His qualifying at the Abu Dhabi GP saw him grab a P7, which is impressive on the Russian’s part.

Honestly, I have been saying this for so long – I don’t think I should be in F1 next year, I don’t think so.
