Daniil Kvyat has accepted his fate for the 2021 season. The Russian is more than likely to be replaced by the Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda at AlphaTauri; yet this news does not dishearten Kvyat. His form has been improving in the last segment of the championship and he is eyeing 2022 now.

Daniil appears to have made his peace with the rumors of him being sacked by AlphaTauri sportingly. He understands that F1 demands results and performance. The Russian put up a few promising stints, but all around, he needs to improve. Therefore, when his team wants to start the Academy racer for 2021, he does not criticize their decision.

He had already stated that his only defense in the face of his plight is his form. Although he did not win a podium yet, his entire weekends do point at a more focussed and determined Daniil Kvyat. His qualifying at the Abu Dhabi GP saw him grab a P7, which is impressive on the Russian’s part.

I think that’s probably the best Quali lap of my life! I’m very happy with today, it feels great to put it together here as it’s a long track with many corners. I’ll enjoy the feeling for another hour or so. Then, my focus will turn to tomorrow’s race,” remarked Kvyat.

Daniil Kvyat is still optimistic about his future

The last race for the season holds a lot of excitement for the fans. With three teams competing for the P3 at Constructor’s and a racer fighting to make a statement, it will be a lively Sunday at Yas Marina.

Daniil Kvyat may have accepted the rumors but has not given up hopes and still remains optimistic about his cockpit at his present team. The thought in his mind persists that given the uncertain nature of F1, the tables may turn any time.

Honestly, I have been saying this for so long – I don’t think I should be in F1 next year, I don’t think so. But the news takes a very long time to come out, so I don’t want to say something unofficial, you know? Maybe Dr. [Helmut] Marko now is sitting in his room and rethinking everything! I don’t know.

“Last week was a perfect lap, today was a perfect lap in quali again, and it’s a solid foundation for 2022. I want to come back and I know I can fight for championships in the right car, I have no doubt about it,concluded Kvyat.

Daniil Kvyat troubled racers such as Ricciardo and Albon in his past stints this season. Well, his form looks set, but might br too late to make amends. However, he looks at options besides a cockpit, like that of a Sub racer and more. We wish him luck and best wishes for his future in and out of F1.
