“I Gave It Everything I Had” – Sebastian Vettel’s Dejected Team Radio in Final Ferrari Qualifying Session

Sebastian Vettel is running the last race of his chapter with Ferrari. The German joined the Ferrari team after winning four world championships with Red Bull in 2015. He joined the team to fulfill his life-long dream of winning a championship with Ferrari.
However, he failed to realize his dream as he is moving on from the team at the end of this season. He has had a rollercoaster ride at Ferrari, with the last season being a downhill ride.
The season has arguably been one of the worst for the German in Formula 1. His relationship with the team also suffered throughout the season, and thus, the German decided to make a move to Racing Point/Aston Martin for next season.

He had another underwhelming performance in his last qualifying for the team. He finished P13 and was once again knocked out of Qualifying 2. Once again the German clarified, “I gave it everything I had.”

Sebastian Vettel deems his time with Ferrari a failure

Vettel admitted that he could not make the most of his time with Ferrari. On the eve of his last weekend with the team, he admitted that he has not claimed the targets he had set for himself during his time at Ferrari.
He said, “We’ve still failed. We had the ambition and target to win the championship. And we didn’t, so I think it’s just an honest reflection. I don’t think saying it out loud changes anything.”

Sebastian Vettel will drive alongside Lance Stroll next year at the rebranded Aston Martin team. Going towards the season finale, this team has replaced Ferrari in the top-three team list of Formula 1. Sebastian Vettel will look forward to this change, and he will hope that he meets his target with Aston Martin by the end of his chapter with his new team.
