There has been nothing but pushback from the FIA and F1 community regarding the 11th team. However, the Andretti family is not taking a no for an answer under any circumstances. In fact, the Americans are putting all their dominos in place as they work towards a possible timeline. A timeline they are confident about but not completely reliant on.
Speaking on the SoyMotor.com Twitch channel Mario Andretti, a former world champion, revealed the key aspects of their F1 plan. The Italian-American former racer revealed for their F1 project, Andretti Global will have two bases. One in the UK and one in their home in Indianapolis. Apart from revealing how they would go about it, Mario Andretti also revealed how soon they are trying to travel with the circus.

In the conversation with SoyMotor.com, Mario Andretti said, “I think 2024 is the goal because you try to organize a lot of things before the new regulation of 2026 arrives. The sooner you start, the better. We are having discussions with the FIA and I can say that there are a lot of things that are progressing, so we will see what happens. We keep fighting”
He also revealed, if 2024 doesn’t become a reality, they will try again! “We are still hoping that it will happen in 2024, but if that is not possible, of course, we would like to be in 2025,” he added.
After $200 Million Step Toward F1, Andretti Reveals Daring Plan of Action
The Andretti family is already making strides with a massive $200 million facility under construction. All the Americans need is a definitive yes from the FIA. As soon as they get that, Andretti Global will be a part of F1 as they are already working in the background.

There is no definitive answer yet, but the American company has made serious progress. They are even willing to pay the $200 million entry fee. Confident in their approach, the American team is working in the background in the hopes of getting the go-ahead.
“We’ve been working as if the situation were going to happen, so we have a lot of things already in place. But we won’t know until we have the absolute ‘OK’, because it’s a matter of hiring more key personnel who are waiting to know if we have that green light,” revealed Mario Andretti.
